HI! I'm the host, Libby
I was diagnosed with PCOS at 18 after suffering a 7 month long period. The first GP to mention PCOS to me said "In short, you'll struggle to get pregnant, and if you do, there's a high chance that will end in miscarriage." Most of us can relate with his next words "but don't worry, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it". I had never heard of PCOS before, and I left the surgery in tears with the words 'incurable' and 'infertility' lingering in my brain. I went from a size UK 12 to size 20 in the space of 2 years, I've struggled with my body image, mental health and also felt like less of a woman. I'd love to help in creating more awareness for this condition so we can all know that PCOS IS incurable right now, but it IS manageable.
